Launched in 2013, “Gynecology.ro” Journal is dedicated to gynecologists, obstetricians, midwives and nurses from Romania. This continues the tradition established by journals of obstetrics and gynecology, offering useful information to medical practitioners.
We purpose a different kind of editorial this time, namely we will refer to the “struggles” which the speciality of Neonatology is confronted again. In Romania, unlike other countries of the EU, Neonatology represents a singular speciality, not being a branch of Pediatrics or Obstetrics, although it is at the border with both these specialities, having therefore its advantages, but also disadvantages. This idea occurred to us in the context of the latest changes, completely failed, of the current curricula for the Neonatology residency.
