The purpose of the association
The Romanian Society of Fetal and Neonatal Medicine aims at increasing medical performance in the field of neonatolgy, perinatology, maternal-fetal medicine and defending the values and interests of this medical community.
In particluar, the Association aims at:
Promoting scientific research, education and professional training in the fields listed above;
Colaborating with medical higher education institutions and related medical fields in order to train and improve specialists with higher professional training;
Contributing to the improvement, modernisation and reform of medical assistance in neonatal and perinatal fields;
Raising the professional and scientific level of its members and
Raising the reputation, representation, support and promotion of scientific professional interests, as well as protecting the activities of the Association’s members on both internal and international level;
For the achievement of its goal, the Association purposes the following objectives:
Development of scientific strategies in collaboration with government and non-government bodies in matters of general nature;
Collaboration with other scientific-professional institutions, research institutions nationwide and international, with the purpose of ensuring public health in neonatology and obstetrics and gynecology;
Implementation of specialized publishing activities;
Implementation of specialized scientific activities;
The Society activity goal
The Association will conduct, inter alia, the following activities:
Organizes, nationwide, national congresses, conferences, meetings, symposiums and attends, through delegates, international congresses and any other scientific events;
Organizes communication sessions and scientific papers and publishes theses in specialized journals;
Organizes, along with competent sectors, specialization or improvement courses or documentary studies nationwide and international;
Obtains and offers grants nationwide and international;
Grants awards and distinctions for distinguished professional-scientific activities;
Affiliates with international organizations in the field and collaborates with similar international societies and associations;
Edits, publishes and broadcasts by its own means or in collaboration: books, journals, specialized theses, advertising material, documentation, translations from and into Romanian etc.;
Collaborates with the Ministry of Health in the activity of protecting health in maternal-fetal and neonatal medicine, as well as with any other scientific research institution, higher education institutions, public and private government or non-government institutions, political entities, local communities and leaders, from Romania or other countries, as well as international bodies and organisations;
Collaborates with the Romanian Collage of Physicians, with the specialty commisions of RCP for implementing professional-scientific training policy of RCP;
Conducts charitable and humanitarian activities, organises fund-raising activities nationwide and international, on behalf of any individual and legal person, in order to accomplish the Association’s purpose and objectives;
Supports the activity of all institutions which develop and maintain social and educational programs, according to the Association’s purpose;
Promotes and sustains collaborations in scientific and practical manner with associations, foundations and other institutions in the country and abroad for accomplishing the Association’s purpose and objectives;
Realizes studies, researches, analysis and reviews in the legislation and practice areas in the Association’s field of interest;
Designs and carries out public awareness-raising and informing campaigns of the public opinion, on the topic of health impact;
Designs and carries out social and educational campaigns in the Association’s field of interest;
Supports and implements programs of social responsibility;
Elaborates and publishes resource materials for educational activities and professional training; involves in consulting and professional orientation programs.
